At Guanico Surf Academy, we know that a child’s first surf experience is important – it should be fun, exciting, and above all, safe. Our founder, Lorenzo, is a certified lifeguard and ocean rescuer with 24 years of experience, ensuring that every lesson takes place in a secure environment. We make sure kids feel comfortable in the water from the very beginning, guiding them step by step with close supervision and a supportive approach. With safety as our priority, we create an experience they’ll always remember – full of fun and the joy of catching their first waves

We offer lessons for all ages, from toddlers to adults, ensuring a tailored experience for everyone.
Our certified instructor Lorenzo prioritizes safety, providing a secure environment for all students.
Parents are welcome to watch from the beach, but it’s not required. Our certified instructors ensure your child’s safety and provide full supervision throughout the lesson. For families staying in Guanico, we also offer to bring the kids home after their lesson.
To ensure a smooth session, we ask that kids arrive with sunscreen already applied and ready to listen to their instructor. Encouraging them to follow instructions helps create a fun and safe learning experience.
For our toddler program, swimming skills are not required, as lessons take place in shallow water with hands-on guidance from the instructor. However, for our regular kids’ surf program, basic swimming ability is required to ensure safe progression in the waves.
